MY STORY
Healthy Eaters are Made, not Born
making delicious healthy food

Seeing my current lifestyle, some might think,

“She's one of those naturally healthy eaters.

What does she know about challenges with food?!”

That's precisely why I want to share my story.

My journey to where I am today

is filled with experiences that echo the struggles many of you are facing.

These experiences have given me empathy and a unique perspective on the challenges of changing eating behaviours. I understand the nuances and struggles because I've lived them.

I want to share my story.

My journey to where I am today

is filled with experiences that echo the struggles many of you are facing.

These experiences have given me empathy and a unique perspective on the challenges of changing eating behaviours. I understand the nuances and struggles because I've lived them.

Bowl of healthy food

I wasn't always a healthy eater. Growing up, comfort food was the answer to everything in my family – celebrations, consolations, you name it. And the awareness of the food-health connection was absolutely non-existent.

I've navigated the full spectrum of weight challenges. There was a time when I was overweight, grappling with all the physical and emotional burdens that accompany it. Then, I shifted to the other extreme, becoming excessively thin, with its own set of struggles. This was followed by years of exploring what it means to have a holistic and healthy balance and creating my own.

You can probably imagine that being surrounded by family and friends who weren't interested in healthy eating meant that my attempts to change my eating habits faced a lot of resistance and pushback – a challenge many of you might be familiar with.

I wasn't particularly talented in cooking, and my cooking skills were initially quite basic. But over time, I learned to create simple, delicious, and healthy meals.

For many years, I navigated a corporate career with a hectic schedule, team lunches, and client dinners, where healthy eating often tended to take a back seat.

Like everyone, I've faced daily stresses and emotional triggers that used to derail my healthy eating habits.

All these challenges helped me learn to undo unhealthy habits and the food conditioning of my early years,

deal with temptations,

stay motivated and committed,

maintain a delicate balance between too much and too little,

personalize nutrition knowledge to my body's needs and my lifestyle,

manage stress without relying on food, and develop a set of skills to balance my family and social life with

healthy eating.

This journey, alongside my professional education and continued studying,

led me to become the coach I wish I had – someone who empathizes with the highs and lows of changing eating habits and understands the intricate nature of human eating behaviour.

If you're seeking guidance from someone who has walked this path and can expertly navigate the nuances of eating behaviour, you're in the right place. I'm here to help you create a relationship with food that is healthy, balanced, and uniquely yours.
